About DebutPlay

DebutPlay is a small editorial shelf for brand-new browser games. We watch the newest HTML5 releases on itch.io, check that the game frame actually loads, and publish a guide for the games worth your time.

What we do

We do not mirror itch.io. Every game page links back to the developer's original page, keeps their name on the page, and uses their public screenshots with attribution. If a developer wants a game removed, we remove it.

What we do not do

We do not publish a page for every game we see. A game needs a playable frame, a real English description, enough screenshots to show the game, and enough evidence for a guide of at least 1,000 words. If it does not clear that bar, it does not get a page.

How the guides are made

Each guide starts from the developer's own description. A language model drafts the structure, then a validator checks every control, number, price claim, and section against the source. Guides that fail are not published. The full policy is on the editorial page.
